The triple mag pouch design allows up to 6 M4 style magazines to be carried 3 wide in stacks of 2. This is a great choice for those who don't want to sacrifice MOLLE space but want to carry many magazines. The open top design along with elastic retention straps is a great alternative to the flap-topped velcro pouches because it's faster to draw the magazines and much quieter without the velcro.
